Our Small Batch Bartram Cherry items are excluded from discounts and are final sale.
Eight years ago, a storm brought down a cherry tree at Bartram’s Garden – the oldest surviving botanical garden in North America — and they invited us to mill it down and give it a new life! As the wood air-dried and transformed from tree to lumber, we, too, changed. Once ready, we set to work making this collection of truly one of a kind pieces, and they are eager to be set free, to transform your space and your work. A storm felled it. Time dried it. We shaped it. Now it's yours to make something with. Learn More
Description
Our Petra Painter’s Palette was inspired by the ivory palettes used by the ancient Egyptians. Constructed from Cherry from a storm tree milled at Bartram’s Garden and vegetable-tanned leather, the palette is a simple way to transport your favorite paints, whether you mix your own pigments or squeeze them from a tube.
The Petra fits in both the Classic and Mini Sendak Artist Rolls.
In the wise words of Annie Dillard, “How we spend our days is how we spend our lives.” At Peg and Awl, we are working to facilitate the making of art everyday and anywhere with objects that make packing and transport easy, whilst looking quite handsome.
